Dr. Shobha Sikka

Dr. Shobha Sikka has been honored to be selected as one of the TOP WASHINGTONIAN DOCTORS continuously since 2015. She is Board Certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has Sub-specialty Board Certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology). She also completed a 2 year Sub-specialty Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica NY in 2010.

Being Board Certified in Urogynecology, she has the expertise to treat women with a diversity of bladder and pelvic health issues including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Her approach is to use a combination of conservative and surgical treatments which can be offered to women in these situations. Her training enables her to use advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat complex gynecological conditions like fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, uterine anomalies and several urogynecological conditions. She specializes in robotic, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and vaginal surgeries.

She pursued a 4 year residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, NY from 2002-2006. During her residency, she received a commendation for teaching. She completed her medical school at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. She completed a 3 year residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, India prior to coming to the United States.

She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at George Washington University School of Medicine. She is also actively involved with the AAGL (American Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopy) where she has presented papers and surgical videos at their annual conventions. She is also a member of AUGS (American Urogynecologic Society).

She is a COEMIG (Center for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology) certified surgeon. The COEMIG program recognizes hospitals and surgeons around the world providing exceptional minimally invasive gynecologic surgical care and is dedicated to continuously improving healthcare quality and patient safety.

She has also been nominated as the gynecologist to serve the women in the Indian Embassy. She is fluent in English and Hindi and lives with her husband and two children. She loves to paint and spend time with her family.

Dr. Thi Tran

Dr Tran is a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery fellowship trained physician. She is originally from San Clemente, CA and completed her undergraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a major in mechanical engineering. After taking a medical device class, she decided to pursue medicine at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. She completed a 4- year OB/GYN residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network. She then went on to complete a 2- year Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery fellowship at Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix.

She has an immense interest in women’s health and especially enjoys complex gynecological conditions including fibroids, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis etc. Her training allows her to approach problems conservatively and with surgical management including robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal, and hysteroscopic surgeries. She also has an interest in pelvic floor disorders and looks forward to helping women navigate their health.

She is actively involved in the AAGL (American Association for Gynecology Laparoscopy) where she has presented papers and videos at the annual convention.

She is fluent in English and Vietnamese.

Outside of work, she enjoys trying new food, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jenna Lichtenberg

Jenna Lichtenberg is a physician assistant. She obtained her Master of Science in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant Certificate through University of Maryland, Baltimore/ Anne Arundel Community College combined PA program in May 2022. Prior to PA school, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Systems Biology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Jenna is currently nationally certified through NCCPA. Jenna worked as a surgical tech in Dermatology prior to PA school. Jenna first found an interest in Women’s health during her clinical rotations where she was able to work with women of all ages and see a variety of health conditions. Jenna enjoys forming relationships with her patients and working with them to solve their medical concerns.

In her free time, Jenna enjoys baking and spending time with her dog, Merida.

Reina Najera

Reina Najera is a family nurse practitioner. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Simmons University.

Reina holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a family nurse practitioner. Her professional background includes acute care, critical care, and urogynecology as a registered nurse. Reina is fluent in both English and Spanish. Reina’s interest in women’s health first began while doing her clinical with Dr. Sikka in 2021. She has since worked with Dr. Sikka as a registered nurse and transitioned into working as a nurse practitioner.

Reina enjoys taking care of women, help solving complex clinical scenarios and creating individualized solutions for each woman for their clinical and urogynecology problems.

In her free time, Reina enjoys discovering new restaurants, gardening, and spending time with her family and friend
