Menopause usually occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55. Usual age for menopause in the United States is 52. Women begin to experience symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, changes in menstrual cycle, moodiness, vaginal changes, fatigue, weight gain, and more.
What are the treatment options for women suffering from menopause?
The treatment focuses on relieving the patients from the symptoms of menopause. Treatment options for menopause depends on patient’s symptoms. These include treating the woman with hormone therapy or vaginal estrogen treatment to treat vaginal dryness, discomfort with intercourse and other urinary symptoms. Vaginal laser can play a big role in improving the vaginal and urinary symptoms in menopausal patients. Healthy diet and exercise is important too.
